Determined to get back on this thing...

Running has gone haywire ( and that's a polite term..i have another one in my head but its not a friendly term ;) ) for the the last month - snotty cold, back spasm, cough, tummy bug long working hours and not being ok with running outside in the dark alone (and the gym want how much !!! to use the treadmill) have all conspired against me and my plans to complete the course by Christmas :(

So today is the first day of 12 days off..so..aiming to get back into it..was on week 7..going back a bit i think to get into it all again.

So change of plan..will graduate when i get there..will run when i can..will use time off to seek out cheaper gym..will join the local womens running group in the new year with their beginners course so i can do at least one run in the week in the dark - change of attitude to my running has now got me itching to get out there again, despite the horrendous rain and a million things to do today. So hoping to squeeze in a little run today to whet my appetite, ease my legs into it, give the psyche a boost and get that running buzz going again, and if i don't manage it, going to stop kicking myself about it.

Aint life grand when you have a plan :D

Makes a whole lot of difference to have a plan. Flexibility is another key - yes it would have been good for you to graduate when you wanted to but it will feel just as good, if not better, when you do as you will have done it and not just given up when things didn't 'go to plan'.

You'll get there. Anyway the nights are starting to draw out now :-)

What you could do is have a target as well. For instance a 5k in say, the spring. I aim to do a half marathon in October. Its achievable without killing myself. Good luck, Ed x
