It's done, but wow! I assumed after W5 R3 that W6 R1 would be really easy. I'm not sure if it is me or the run or if I was running too fast. Over all, I feel very pleased with my progress. Just like the little engine that could. I think I can, I think I can.
Week 6 Run 1. This is tougher than it looks. - Couch to 5K
Week 6 Run 1. This is tougher than it looks.
And you will! It's not just you, lots of us find week 6 surprisingly hard after the high of that 20 minute run, returning to intervals was difficult for me - I'd rather run straight through than stop/start any day. Stick in, you will get through this and probably look back and smile .
Lol yes me too! Had a great w5r3 then did this one today and it felt a bit awkward and disjointed. I agree with not bad about the stop start thing too. Mind you I had a very chatty friend with me so I was unable to get into my little zone. She got so overexcited at one point and turned around, almost coming almost coming off the treadmill lol! I just caught her I have to run again tomorrow due a heft wk of commitments but am really looking forward to wk 7! Who knew.....
All the best, Jems
Welcome to W6, Kimber!! I have to agree with all of you, W6 snuck up on me, too!! I think that the combination of confidence from running 20 minutes and the return to intervals served up a very ample slice of humble pie to most of us!! That constant starting and stopping just won't allow you to settle into a nice running groove!
No worries, you are doing great!!
Keep Running!!
