W6R3 – Failed – first non-injury failure of my running so far!

So I set out this morning keen to complete W6R3 and get ahead of the plan from my set back 6 weeks ago with my knee problem when I had to stop at W6R2. I had restarted with W5 and everything was fine as I set out this morning for W6R3. But after 22 minutes I had to stop I think it was a combination of some physical fatigue and psychological mind games affecting my bodily functions, I won’t go into the details. It only took a minute or so to recover my composure but I had stopped, not run for the 25 minutes so mark down as my first failure. Never one to give into a challenge that I think is achievable it will be a day to recover and weather permitting I will be back out Sunday morning to slay this run and move onto to week 7.

It sounds like you have the right attitude. Put that one down as a practice run and get back out on Sunday. Take it at your own pace but never give up!

Thanks mabbers .. a practice run is what I will put it down to.

Firstly I think you are awesome for getting back into it after your knee problem, I would have definatley struggled to get back out there. Secondly you were sooooooo close today! that's really cruel that is. Good on you for your very positive attitude though, you will do it on Sunday and i look forward to reading your blog so say you have. One foot in front of the other all the way :) Go exwightman!!!!!
