First Parkrun this year

I had a mad moment and entered the Cambridge Parkrun yesterday after only the second week of C25K. It was very hard work especially considering it was so wet and slippery. However, it won't put me off and i am looking forward to doing W2R3 tomorrow :-} x

Hi Ali, thanks very much, unfortunately my age and years of not running are working against me and progress is very slow. I don't give up easily though! x

Wow that is great, I didnt rise to that challenge till after graduating (although I knew I could and should have gone sooner!) and then only cos my big sister was holding my hand (not all the way round, she is much faster than me and I insisted she go off at her own pace).

Well done you !

Morning BigEd

You are going "Great Guns" sometimes I think those mad moments are the best moments...I am hoping to graduate by the end of this week (did my first run of W9 this morning), and I want to go in a Parkrun in December, (you guys are soooo lucky) this will be the first Parkrun here in my state so looking forward to it, bit nervous though but you will really enjoy this program and the weeks will fly by as they did for me so keep up the good work and just ENJOY it and KEEP RUNNING !!! :-)

Hi Pinkus thanks for the encouragement. I have just done W2R3 and

feel pretty good. I enjoy the parkruns. Where do you live?

I am an ozzie...and I live in South Australia, we are just coming into our summer over here where it gets very hot so I usually go for my runs in the early mornings when its cooler, also the flies are just starting to come around too which is a nusiance as when you are huffing & puffing all they seem to want to do is stick to your face, oh and its a good idea to keep your mouth shut, which makes breathing a bit difficult.....hahaha.....(not that I am complaining !!) Where are you located BigEd....somewhere in the UK ?
