W6R1 not as bad as I thought it would be.

After the thrill of doing w5r3 on Saturday, reading other people's blogs about w6r1 I wasn't really looking forward to it, but must say that I found it fine this morning, perhaps in the back of my mind I know that the longer runs are just around the corner so I'm enjoying these with the breaks while I can. Feeling really good that I have got this far.....never in a month of sundays did I think I would!

Well done you, I absolutely hated week 6 - looks like you're on course to breeze through the rest of the programme! Also cute pooch! Does (s)he accompany you on runs?

I wouldn't say I'm ready to breeze thro' the rest of the programme but just taking one run at a time so to speak. ' Bess' does come with me when we go around the polo field but must say that on the third lap she has had enough and makes her way to the car, I have to coax her along. When I did my W5R3 I went a different route and left her at home as I didn't want any distractions. All in all it kills two birds with one stone...my run-her walk, Job done! Thanks for the encouragement.

Bless her Bess! My first family dog when I was very small was called Bess. She was a golden retriever and we were inseperable.

I guess it's harder to combine dog walking with running as the runs get longer, but i would love to run with a canine companion. I don't think my bunny's up to it though!

Hope your next runs are as successful!
