I've had a bit of an up and down week. After having a week off from running due to my right knee, I set out last Sunday to see how it would behave. I had my "heavy Duty" knee support on over my capri pant (not the best look) and I manage 20 mins, then I tried the cold shower treatment that someone kindly posted on here. All seemed greatly improved. I ran a new route on Tuesday (back to just tubi-grip for support) and had a real feel good run.
I've been trying to do as many leg/knee strengthening exercises as i can.
I ran again on Thursday and my knee niggled a lot. Seems just when I think I'm over the worst it starts up again.
Friday I went and spoke to the nice guys at Sweatshop in Bluewater, and came away with some Brooks trainers, I'm hoping they'll sort me out.

Annoying. I hope your new trainers do the trick. Have you tried arnica cream/gel - I slather tons on when my knees niggle, but I don't know if it's the cream or the cold water or the exercises or what that actually helps. Wouldn't hurt, though!
Arnica gel on knee, knee elevated. The cold shower treatment definitely helps. I probably should have rested today, but wanted to get to parkrun, the run was good, but knee started protesting this afternoon though.
