I know we all say it but I can't believe I just did that, and that it wasn't as agonising as I feared. 6 weeks ago (yes, I cheated and never took rest days at start so went through it quickly) I was the couch potato, feeling bad about myself, wearing clothes to cover the flab and generally doing nothing to make my life healthier.

Thanks to this program and the inspiration I gain from seeing others pushing themselves I feel amazing, am rapidly dropping back towards a BMI that starts with a 2 instead of a 4, and I am throughly enjoying the great feeling I get from knowing what I can now do.

Just did 5.1km in the 28 minute run - the last 100m being due to an inability to get enough oxygen to my brain to tell my legs to slow down, but I did it and I am thrilled. I'm off to New York in about an hour and I am going to run for thirty minutes in Central Park next week. I still cannot quite believe thats me I`m talking about.

Roll on the day where I can buy my first ever pair of skinny jeans - and yes, I do know how old I am and I don't care, I'm buying them:-)

Enjoy your run in Central Park! I'd love to wear a pair of skinny jeans too - something to aim for. Let us all know how it went. SB
