Still not had a post grad run.

I've not run since last Saturday, and I want to get out there.

My Graduating run went well (PB 29.42) and my dodgy knee gave me no problems while I was running. But after standing around, drinking water and having a chat, I started walking back to the car, and pain shot through my right knee and I found it really hard to bear weight on my leg.

I'd started off the day with a sore throat, but being my graduation run I didn't let that stop me, but by the afternoon I was feeling full of cold, and very sorry for myself. I spent the rest of Saturday and Sunday wrapped up on the sofa doing not a lot.

I feel I'm on the mend today I've stopped sneezing, although I'm still coughing. I don't think I'll be running for another couple days.

I gave my knee a workout today with a very brisk walk, it's still twinging, so maybe this cold is a good thing because it's enforcing far more rest on my knee than I'd probably have given it otherwise.

Silver linings and all that! Hope that you the cold and the sore knee clear up v. quickly and that you get out there and enjoy the run.

knees are buggers :-( although I believe the considered view is that they are as much sinned against as sinners.

Have you tried cycling/swimming to assuage your need for activity? I spent 20 days not running due to my knee and the bike was a life/sanity saver and as a plus when I did run it meant I had held onto all my stamina gains

My own tricky knee is currently a bit tender after my run this morning, but I'm hoping it will clear up ready for another crack at Stamina on Saturday morning.

Get well soon.

My poor bike hasn't had an outing since about March. I tell myself that I must go for a ride, but somehow it never happens. I'll have to force myself on Saturday, see it all this running has improved my pedal power.

My bike had been resting for years when I dragged him out of the shed, but when I did my first ride I was shocked at how fast I was and how far a managed to go! Same with swimming, and that made me feel so much better about not being able to run.
