I DID IT!!

As ive said before ive done the full 9wks podcast

on a treadmill. But for the first time IVE JUST DONE

MY FIRST RUN OUTSIDE!!! YIPPEE! I did 20mins non-stop

walked then more running.Not sure on the miles... I

felt more energy more exhilarating and felt as if my

lungs had a good workout. my throat wasnt as dry as

it is on the treadmill.Time seems to go quicker aswell.

I LOVED IT! Thanks to all for the encouragement xx

One of the things I love about running is being outside (particularly if the dog comes with me). The best is first thing in the morning when it is misty and the sun is shining through the trees. Occasionally I see deer or other wildlife, I guess you don't get that on a treadmill

You must live in the countryside how nice. I have

tried to take my little dog along with me before,

But she didnt seem to like it, and she stops all the

time for a sniff around. I shall be running more often

outside from now on

is she a Jack Russell? Ours doesn't like long walks or running and stays in bed with my wife whilst I go out running with our Schnauzer.

You have the best of both worlds for running now, you can always use the treadmill if the weather is really bad but the outside for good fresh air and change of scenery. Well done.

Feel-good, you need your badge!!!! Glad you enjoyed the run outdoors, it may help with some of the treadmill boredom. Maybe your pup would be more willing to run if she was always treated to an ice cream like in the pic!!

Hi gdeann, ive message JR21 twice now about

my badge he hasnt replied as yet. My dog Poppy

is five now. She does love long walks, but as for

running ive got no chance lol. Thanks for your

comment its nice to know there is support out

there when you need it.

Really glad for you, feelgood. It IS a totally different experience! Having said that the weather's so horrendous here today I'm hoping I can get to the gym (if the road's still open cos of flooding!) to treadmill my run today. Your little dog looks a proper cutie!
