Which App?

I'm using MapMyWalk as I was logging walks before I started C25K. Getting a bit annoyed about the times it fails to start recording distance from the start and about how it sometimes doesn't upload all the details.

Any suggestions for something a bit more reliable? I like that way when this app does work that it has things like a mile by mile speed breakdown and notes hills.

I do like having something that helps to record progress.

I use runkeeper - runkeeper.com. I've found it really reliable with good stats.

You haven't mentioned what type of phone it is but I guess most apps are published for Android and Apple these days.

I use GPST (GPS Tracker Lite) on my Android which records all the information reliably. The only down side is that you have to upload it to your PC yourself to see all the data.

Thanks. It's android.

I did use Endomondo Pro but stopped when I got a Garmin HRM.

However, I can highly recommend Endomondo. They update frequently and the app is very responsive even with partially obscured sky.

I've tried a few, sportstracker, endomondo, mapmyrun. I'm still using sportstracker and endomondo. Though to be honest I've found that if they lose the gps signal they just stop recording. I reckon a simple tool such GPS logger is best and then upload the gpx file to something like the endomondo website is probably best.

Does it log speed, mileage breakdown etc if you do that?

Yes it will do. The app I use is a simple GPX file logger but with that all of the other information can be extrapolated.

I started with Mapmyrun but switched to Runkeeper because I wanted to see split times for each Km. Runkeeper has recently updated and I find it really versatile. It has a great feature for creating your own intervals which I have used to 're-create' Laura's intervals but using my own music!

I use ismoothrun. ismoothrun.com/ It has lots of features and so far seems quite accurate.
