W5 R3 today.

Felt all day like I was going to sit an exam or something! Properly nervous.

But...I did it! I'm so chuffed. 20 whole minutes. It wasn't easy but I kept going and I did it. Got a lovely sorta smug glow now but for the first time my legs are complaining a little bit.

Still looking forward to week 6 starting on Friday.

:-)

To all those whose W5 R3 is coming up, don't doubt yourself, listen to Laura and you can do it!

This is brilliant! I am just this minute about to go out for w5r2 (which I'm seeing as a dress rehearsal for the big one on Friday as I'm scoping out the route I will use then!) and thought I'd pop on here for some last minute inspiration, which I got! Thanks and well done! :)

Thank you - it will be here and you'll have it under your belt before you know it. Believe in Laura, and keep telling your brain you can do it because it will try and lie to you!!

Fantastic, well done younggrizzly. I did it on Monday, what an amazing feeling! Like you, I can't believe that I got through! My legs were fine and I could have gone on for a couple more mins I think! The really good news is that my legs didn't ache yesterday or today :)

I'm Starting week 6 tomorrow.

Good luck.

Yey well done :-) I could've kept going in the end too but as usual I struggle through the first half something horrible. Can't wait to move on know. Good luck with your week 6.

I struggle at the beginning too. Reading a lot of these blogs, it seems to be pretty common

Did mine this morning as well. Great feeling but found it easier than I thought.

I think it may have been that I was able to keep the rhythm going as there was no stops. I know that sounds strange but before I knew it I was at 15 mins and all downhill to home.

It was my first run in the rain and was able to keep going for another 2 mins at the end to get closer to the house and to save getting chilled during the cool down. How sad was that?

I'm actually starting to think that 30 mins is achievable and looking forward to the longer runs.

Bring on week 6!!!!!

Well done! I wish I'd found it that easy. I'm not relishing the thought of the longer runs but I believe that I can do it now and that's a lot of the battle :-)

I'm just preparing myself psychologically for my run in the morning, Wk5 Run3, so reading your blog has helped. Nice to know it can be done. Congratulations :-)

Have been feeling a bit nervous but excited at the same time :-) main worry has been a suitable route but hopefully will sort that tomorrow. Thanks for your inspiration & well done. Good luck for week 6 :-)

wk 5 run 2 done.....run 3 on Saturday. Will be away for the weekend as well, but already have a route in my mind. I am actually looking forward to it. Considering I found wk 1 hard, I can't believe I have come this far. No stopping now! Well done to all those that have achieved it so far, it helps to know that I am not alone in the quest!!

Ooh how proud you must feel! I am just about to do W3 R3 and can not ever imagine running 20 mins solid!!!

Oh! Thank you ! Thank you ! Thank you !. I start week five on Tuesday and listened to it on I shuffle after run today as well as reading it on this site and saw wk 5 R3 so after a sharp intake of breath ! I thought well I'm going to do this . (After back injury week before Xmas into Jan at work NHS theatre practitioner,) I am getting back into my running and doing ct5k was an ideal way of doing it. I'm doing 2 sponsored 5k runs May and July so this is an ideal way of training. So I was so pleased to read your post which has filled me with encouragement. Cheers!😀
