Went out for my first run since last thursday this afternoon and after a weekend of eating and drinking far too much at brothers wedding my run today was awful. I graduated three weeks ago and have done my first parkrun (30m46s), had no problems and waz generally feeling pleased with myself. But, today reality kicked in when after about 25 mins my calfs went sorry we are done and that was that, I walked home deflated.
Still, three months ago I struggled with one minute intervals so.its not all bad. Got saturday off work this week so am going to do another parkrun and (hopefully) smash the 30 minute barrier!

Well done on graduating and completing the first park run. Good luck smashing the 30min barrier.
I'm starting W5 this week and feel a little daunted by R3 !! Still like you pointed out, five weeks ago I was struggling running for 1 min at a time, so we'll see.
Loads of people say on the forum that you have bad runs from time to time, chalk it up and get out there again to put it behind ya !
You're right it's amazing how sluggish and heavy you feel after eating loads of bad stuff I've noticed that since doing the plan just gives you no energy or oomph! Well done on graduating though that's amazing
It's so true...heavy weekend /evening doesn't help the run. Bet hey ho that's life and its all about fitting running into it. Hope your brother's wedding went well!
You did a great time for your first park run (said with envy as I'm still 4 mins of getting to 30 min for 5k and I graduated at the end of March!). Good luck with the next run...just make sure you have a quiet Friday night!
