C25K to a healthier life!

I began my C25K journey in March, weighing 304lbs (21st9), with a blood pressure reading of a rather high 133 over 98.

Today i had my blood pressure measured, using the same instrument in the same office... My blood pressure today was 119 over 79 with a resting heart rate of 66, and my weight is 228lbs (16st4). That reading is essentially perfect. The ideal BP reading is 120 over 80.

Following my check up, I went to the gym and ran the Speed C25K+ podcast again. This time i ran the higher bpm run at 10kph and the lower one at 8.5kph. For a couple of the intervals (the first and the last) i ran at 11kph instead of 10kph.

I look better, i feel better, I am better.

:)

Wow, that is amazing. :) You have done brilliantly and must be very pleased. c25k is a real life changer. I'm looking forward to the next time I get my blood pressure checked. Mine is/was much like yours and I'm hoping for a nice surprise for both me and the nurse. ;)

The health benefits are tangible aren't they - in a way I didn't wholly expect. Since i was ill about 20 years ago my heart rate has been at 80 which is okay but not good and nothing id did changed it - but now it is steadily and consistently at 70 - all since i did C25K! Fab

I feel so much healthier, apart from the muscle aches, the the sore knees and the twinging back. But that's my fault for not using them all this time.

Great blog, anyone thinking about going on the C25K journey will read your blog and be down loading the pod cast, slipping on the trainers and out of the door. Good work :)
