W1R3 completed. Made up! But how unfit am I? Can't believe how much longer 1min running seems compared to 1.30 walking! This is not going to be easy, and that's putting it politely! I haver never done a "blog" thing before but hope it will help me stay on track.

Well done thats great I think w1 is very hard as things are so new and as with everything else it takes time to get used to it.

Well done stridingedge for completing week 1 - I agree week 1 is very hard when you're new to it all. Those first minute runs do feel long in the beginning, but if you stick with the programme you'll see the benefits.

Yep, week 1 is tough, I was wheezing and struggling to breath for most of it BUT I've made it to week 5 already it just flies by. I'm loving it!

Stick with it, you'll probably amaze yourself.

Yes, it is hard work, but you've done really well and you should feel pleased with yourself. The nice thing is that you will see improvements every week, even if some runs are harder than others. This is just the start - keep us posted :-)

Well done for starting - it feels tough and strange at first, but if you stick with it you will be surprised by what you can achieve. I too felt I couldn't run for one minute when I started this plan. I never for a moment believed I could really get to 30 mins of solid running, but reading the blogs and insipirational comments on here began to convince me it was possible for even me! And you'll get there too. It even gets to be fun! Go for it.

Well done for starting and completing week 1.

When you have done this for a couple of weeks you will have faith in the programme as every week you will see yourself improving and "doing it".

I too struggled with the forst week and couldn't beleive how hard it was but you will nail it, week by week, trust the plan.

Well done striding edge (great name btw). :) Getting that first week under your belt is an amazing achievement. I'm on week 4, and can hardly believe the difference since I started. I'm certainly not 'built like a runner' but I'm persevering and reaping the rewards. You will find doing this becomes addictive and this place is great for support. Who'd have thought that something that is so good for you could be so enjoyable (even if the 'enjoyment' at the moment is the bit where you finish the run!)?! Keep on running. :D
