Rain running and tree hugging

I had had a super busy day yesterday and it was raining....not just any rain but Northern Ireland drizzle rain which soaks you through to your skin. But I mustered up some motivation from somewhere and went out for my second run of Week 2 and it turned out to be one of my favourite runs so far. It was a mini adventure having to jump over puddles and hug trees in order to get past flooded sections in the path.

I'm a Christian and decided to try using my time running to worship God and chat to him, repeating verses in my head such as "run the race with perseverance". It actually worked really well and I think helped make it a bit easier. Also think I am beginning to get a little fitter already which is awesome and I've got a lot better at not running too fast.
