Hip injury at Sainsburys...

Well I had to cancel Sundays run after a short trip to Sainsburys. I actually had my running gear on already to be sure that I would go out for a run when I got back and all was good until I left the self service check out.

I was with my nephew and we had picked up a few things for his little sister due to be born the following day (I'm an aunty again!) and as I walked off my hip was really quite painful, like it was out of place. I didn't feel comfortable doing a load of stretches in the middle of the shopping centre, but once I got down to the underground car park was happy to do some, but nothing seemed to help.

3 days later and there is an improvement; it seems ok when I sit down and now aches rather than hurts when I stand up and walk around. Hopefully a weeks rest will sort it out and if not, I've got a dr's appointment on Monday regarding something else so can mention it then.

I am slightly confused as to what caused this, I don't remember twisting or bending or jerking, but I guess that just happens sometimes.

Hope that settles soon, it may be sciatica, I went to my bed pain free and woke up the next morning and could'nt move!! Get doc to check it out cos if it is you need to treat with anti-inflammatories if its severe cos it won't get better on its own. Take care.
