When do you start noticing that you're toning up?

I started doing C25K for fitness and to tone up my legs (cellulite etc). I didn't really need to lose weight, (i'm 5ft4, and 8.5stone)

I'm on W4 R1 and am just wondering when do people start noticing their body toning if theyre not losing weight? xxx

I definitely noticed it making a difference when I started running 30 minutes three times a week. So not long to go now :)

Personally, I started to notice a difference around week 5, I'm now about to finish week 6. My face looks thinner and my stomach protrudes a bit less, though it isn't completely gone. I also feel like I've toned up my back, which is a funny thing to notice but apparently the arm movement from running does this. And my boobs are smaller which is a bit disappointing but healthy I guess! I still need to drop some overall body weight and like above I've heard that it starts coming off when you are doing the longer runs more regularly, so fingers crossed for the next few weeks.

It was week 8 for me. A real bonus because that was the week I found most of a struggle so suddenly finding my jeans looser spurred me on

hi emzolita, I too am on W4 :) personally noticed bits getting less wobbly by end of W2 and though my weight has dropped very slightly some clothes are already in the charity bag! I am thankful as the early changes have really helped me to stick with the plan. Did you try measuring yourself as mentioned on here recently? sorry cannot recall where, but maybe that will give you affirmation

hi there, i have found it hard to say, though im a lot heavier to start with. mainly its my thighs that needed toning and my stomach/ribs since having my second baby. i just finishe dweek 7 . after say week 3 i could feel the muscle definition in my thighs more (outer muscle not inner thgh unfortunatley) and after about week 6 i feel my shoulders are more toned. I dont think i have lost weight as such just more toned. though if you dont have any exess weight to lose i would say possibly around 6-8 weeks, thats how long it takes to see a definate improvement in muscle tone when startign a new excercise regime.

good luck :)

I noticed after a couple of weeks that I had defined pectoral muscles and the most amazing six pack ever. Then the alarm clock went off and I got up and went to work. Dont worry too much about weight loss or toning, the main thing is that you have taken a huge step towards a healthier lifestyle. The rest will come in its own good time....... or as occasional REM

I'm starting week 7 tomorrow and I've just noticed the tops and backs of my thighs are toning up quite dramatically. Calf definition was almost immediate. I think everyone's different though, but I've definitely lost inches in the last 6 weeks because I've gone down a dress size:)
