Running Behind - W7R1

Arghhh! I have been on holiday this week, the in-laws picked the place and it turns out it was in the middle of nowhere. Literally. So no paths to run on *sighs*, anyhow my lovely OH drove me to the nearest town at 6am (I am a morning runner) so I could jog round the park and at least do one run. He offered to drive me 3 times but I didn't think it was fair on him to get up so early. I really enjoyed the run even though it was pouring with rain, I got soaked, my glasses got steamed and my trainers got sodden. I ran for 25 minutes and loved it! It helped that the park was lovely and flat (Cae Glas in Oswestry), compared to my usual slog up never ending inclines, but still it was nice to enjoy it. And also, what made me really proud, when Laura said to give it a bit extra at the end I did and managed to do a fast 60 seconds. Back off holiday now and will be running early tomorrow morning. Wish me luck. Graduation seems reachable now and not just an impossible dream.

Thanks, dedication or madness, it's a fine line!!

I loved the saying too, reminds me that being a snail is better than a slouch on the couch. :-)

Your hubby is an angel! :-) Good on you for your dedication!

I never look at this as something to be done within a certain time. A marathon, not a sprint! Sometimes life gets in the way a bit, at times you are not doing as well as you feel you should. But every run counts, so whether it is a week 1 or a week 9 run, just by doing it you are achieving something great.

Ahh thanks for this, It was very inspirational & I shall keep it in mind :)

PS OH is lovely, even if he does think I'm mad for jogging. It makes all the difference to have a supportive partner though.
