Just finished r2 of week 9. After about 10 mins of running my thighs felt so so heavy like they were going to seize up! I did manage the whole 30 mins. I think I read somewhere that if you take a natural iron supplement then this helps with the lactic acid building up. Wonder if this is what I've got? Any suggestions? (have got ice packs on them now.....bliss!

I have had personal trainers recommend taking a "baby" aspirin after strenuous exercising to reduce the build-up of lactic acid. Also, be sure to properly stretch after each run, and consume some protein and carbohydrates withing 30 after running/exercising. This is the prime time that your body will absorb the necessary nutrients from these foods, and use them for energy instead of storing them for fat.
