This week was just not 'doing it for me'. Went for a run on Wednesday, still on a bit of a high from doing Race for Life, and failed miserably. I had to walk after 10 minutes for a few seconds, then again after 20 minutes, and 6 or 7 minutes after that I just gave up and walked home. I tried a new route and was suprised at how much harder it was for me.
This morning's run it was pouring with rain, my ipod went flat halfway through and so I cut it a bit short.
But... I am so dang proud of me trying something different, setting a new challenge and daring to run where there were more people about, and for going out at 5am in the rain. It would have been so much easier to roll over and say 'maybe tomorrow' whilst snuggling back into bed.
Something is changing for this fatty. It might not be my body yet, but my mind is now perking up and having a voice of it's own. Pulling me along where I previously would not have considered going. And it feels gooood..!

It's all part of the C25K learning curve isn't it, we are pushing ourselves to try things thanks to these podcasts and when things don't quite go as planned we know we haven't failed as this is the 'new and improved' us. We are actually getting off our bums to do something and that's a massive tick in the box.
Glad to hear your little voice is kicking in - mine nagged me to get out of bed this morning too!! I actually find the buzz from doing this quite liberating.
Yup, this is all good stuff. It can be disheartening to have a second (or third!) consecutive session which doesn't hit the spot, but it's great that you know you've made progress of a different but still positive sort.
Well done for getting up and getting out there. Sometimes we have a bad run (or series of them) but keep trying and you'll get passed it. When the next good one comes it reminds you of why you keep doing it.
