W7R1 Didn't like that one..!!

I found week 6 not too bad, even R3 was ok. Just completed W7R1 and had to constantly tell myself not to give up. I found that a mental battle even though I have completed the same 25 mins in my previous run. Between 15 and 20 mins was the worst, after 20 mins felt a bit better until the 'up the pace' last minute.!!

Hope the rest of this weeks runs are ok

You did it! Now celebrate! Now what's this "up the pace" last minute business?! Help, I do wk6r3 on Monday and plan to use it to get me through this one but I'm not planning on increasing my pace anytime soon! Have you got the weekend off now or do you run again on Sunday? Bet it goes well, but let us know.:)

Don't worry, it's only the last 60 seconds and it's only if you feel you can do it. I think it's just a mental exercise to prove to yourself that after all you have just run you still have bit left in the tank.

I did W6R3 on Wednesday morning and found it not too bad but today's W7R1 which I have completed this afternoon I didn't enjoy and its exactly the same run.!! Might be a time of day thing? Something for me to keep an eye on.

Yes, weekend off now and W7R2 on Monday which is the same run again, hope it's easier..!!

Me too! I do wk6r3 on Sunday and judging from my last run it will be some time before I can up the pace. Its all I can do at the moment to keep putting one foot in front of the other. Mind you if Laura told me to up the pace I would probably do it, as I do exactly what she tells me on every run! Its got me this far.

lol! So do I! Husband started this programme yesterday and decided he couldn't run with earbuds so I shouted Laura's instructions to him as he ran round the parK :) If he's going to argue with anyone, it's going to be her, not me !!!

I've found myself pushing the pace on the last 60 second run in the first week as well. It's like my brain is saying "This is the last run for today. So you don't slow down to a shuffle, I'm going to make you outright run!"

Congrats on finishing the first run of your 7th week!

Be carefull with that. I tried the program last year and kept getting injured (knee, hip, back etc) felt like I was falling apart and as I look back now I always did a little bit extra trying to get ahead but all it did was put me back. This year I have stuck to the program rigidly even when I felt I could do more and guess what, no injuries at all.
