Many Kilometres! And an attack of stitch and breathing...

So... having not run since my 8.5 on Sunday, the OH decides that I should push myself again and go on part of his run. It was super hot (surprisingly actual June-like weather!) and I wasn't exactly in the mood but knew I'd regret it later if I didn't go!

The route was much more off-road than I'd done before, but I kept powering through, though a little slower than usual, on the dirt tracks and through the fields. At around 6k I got a massive stabby stabby stitch pain, which I tried to run through but in the end had to stop. On stopping, my body then decided that along with the stitch pain, it would stop me breathing! Never happened before, it was like my throat closed up, and I could only take really shallow breaths (which doesn't really work when panicking...). So I walked for a bit (just over half a k, a worked out later!) and then started running again once I'd got over the "i'm going to die" feeling and told my OH it was all his fault (he deals with me well!).

So anyway--- I kept plodding along, slower than normal but still moving... and I did 11.7 kilometres in total!! SUUUUPER proud! So even with my walky bit that was still 11k of running. and Although my average speed was 7mins/k instead of the normal 6-and-a-bit, I am happy with the distance!

Bring on the next long run, hopefully a bit faster on my second attempt!
