W5r2 done! Anyone else burst into tears in the final minute?

I've just done w5r2 and I don't know if it was the soaring music or endorphins finally kicking in after 33 years or just sheer joy, but I burst into tears. I must have looked quite a sight/fright with my red face and red eyes and .... thank goodness I always carry a hankie!

Well, those 8 minutes are okay after all the training we've done. My breathing was very steady, my legs did their own thing and all I had to do was to keep going and slow down endlessly when the going got tough. I was overtaken at one point by a tall sturdy young athlete whose feet didn't look as if they touched the ground. He slowed up and walked ahead of me and it took me quite some time to catch him up and give a little sprint as I overtook him!

Thanks to everyone who has already described how to do this. I remembered someone saying that when you hear you have 4 minutes left you know you've already done 5 so it should be easy! It worked. Keep on blogging everyone, we can do this together.

I shall let you know tomorrow when I do my w5r2. Hopefully I won't cry as a 45 year old man sobbing to himself on a. Treadmill in the gym would look pretty suspect!

Oh gone on, let it out! The feeling of achievement was amazing today. It even felt better than after W1r1 and that's saying something. Good luck tomorrow!!

Oh well done! I finished my W5R2 today as well. I didn't cry but the feeling of achievement was amazing! It wasn't as bad as I'd expected and am now actually looking forward to R3 which I am planning on doing on Friday. When are you doing R3?

I'm doing it on Friday too - hopefully early morning. I'm doing this at the same time as my twin sister and it depends a bit on how her sore ankle feels. If not Friday then Saturday. The 8 minutes went by pretty quickly I thought - at least the first 8. I can almost imagine 20 minutes now. Can you? We can do this pine pixie. Keep me informed, okay and have a good rest tomorrow. Well done you!

Good luck to you both, I am a day or two behind you so your posts are a guide to the future. I will think of your posts as a horoscope!

There are a few of us at this crucial stage. We can do this. Here's to us all moaning about how difficult week 6 is after breezing through week 5...! This plan is so clever and Laura is so encouraging I'm sure we'll all make it sooner or later. No injuries allowed, okay?
