I really didnt have the motivation to go out this morning, even with that sun shining.. whichI must admit, was much better than fridays gales!

Finally pushed myself out the door and was glad I went. The first couple of minutee felt tough but once I settled into it, I got a rhythm going. I could have done with Laura telling me how much id got left to do sooner than she did, like every. mins, but actually when she told me id already done 12.5 mins, then 20 mins, it felt quite good!

I ended up running to the next village, which felt amazing and I ended up challenging myself by seeing it I could run to the next sign or landmark.

Surprisingly, I also preferred to run non stop instead of intervals because when i wapk inbetween, my calves are really tight, but non stop running and I'm fine... strange!

Lastly, I used Map My Run app and managed to complete 5km by the end of the podcast... feeling on such a high at the mo! :) :)

Amazing, you are inspiring me. I can't wait to be told I'm a runner. I just love hearing about everybodies progress, it really makes me believe I can do this ( w3r1).

Well done you :)

I have just completed week 3 and like you find my calves and shins are tighter when walking than running so would rather try to keep running but I must listen to Laura and stick to the plan :)

Good luck for week 7.

Thanks :) I've read that taking Ibuprofen can help with muscle tightness (due to their anti inflammatory properties), as well as ice packs on your legs when you've come back from a run. They may just be a placebo, but i've found that they help! :)

Good luck with starting week four :)

I found this doing week 6 day 1 today found it really hard after the 20 minutes on Friday. But wow to being called a runner well done.

I know exactly what you mean, I found the stop, start of w6r1 to be difficult, I much preferred the non stop running. It does get better though :)

Sometimes those days where you don't really fancy it end up being the nest don't they?

Its why its (almost :-) ) always worth making the effort.

That's good distance for week six, you must be flying, well done.

Its taking me a long while to feel like a runner... more like a breathless jogger than anything else! Although the longer runs are helping towards the fully fledged runner feeling :)
