Did my first pre-breakfast run today. Wow! some achievement for me! I slept bit later than planned so set off at 8.45.
It was OK! I was worried about the increase in runs, but after first one, I adjusted my pace a bit and stuck to it! Bit bothered about Laura's tip on breathing in for 4 and out for 4. No way can I manage that yet, but that's my goal this week.
So, all in all, feeling pretty smug today! have inspired overweight husband to download and give it a go. He is going with a different app, not Laura but one that can use own music.

I find it amazing how running inspires others. My hubby started running after my brother started entering half marathons and we went along to support him. I then started running when my husband started loosing weight and entering runs. I've put on weight (quit smoking on wk2 and replaced fags with food lol) since starting and run the speed of a snail but, I love it and feel fantastic
Good for you, you deserve to feel smug! I did my first morning run today too and swiftly decided it wasn't for me! I'm sticking to evenings while it's so hot. I've also inspired my OH to get more active - he's not doing C25K (apparently doesn't need it...) but he goes for a jog on alternate days to me now and plays football on a Sunday. I'm hoping it'll rub off on the kids as they get older.
Well done but don't worry about the breathing thing, better breathing will come naturally to you as you progress. Just try to breathe deeply and evenly.
Mumtum, me too! My 10 year old daughter begged to come with me on W2R1 last night and she was fab; we both had our ipods on, she knew it wasn't going to be a chatty/mummy thing, and she ran the same as me.
The breathing thing was a bolt out of the blue for me too; in for FOUR beats? Not yet.........!!
