Today I did my 1st official 5k run at the Edinburgh Marathon Festival. I was a little nervous as I had only ever run by myself before but the atmosphere was great and to have a crowd cheering you on is a real high.
My time today was a great 31min 1sec especially in the heat and an unexpected hill
I did today's run in memory of my mum and my friends mum and dad and raised £400 for Chest, Heart, Stroke Scotland
If it had not been for these podcasts I would never have done today's run so again thanks to all who put them together and to anyone just starting out on the couch to 5k podcasts stick with them and you will be amazed when you complete them how well you are running

Congratulations and well done! and you doubted yourself eh? I bet you are glad you did it! Yes Mum would have been proud and so should you ... Brilliant !
Congratulations and well done! It is my aim to run a 5K and you have spurred me on - I'm near the end of week 4 so nearly half way. If I get any where near your time I will be happy.
Thank you. I am glad I have spurred you on. You will soon be half way through the podcasts and I am sure you feel yourself improving. Keep up the good work and you will soon hit that 5k run
