Had to get home

Finding it hard to get out & motivated despite race 4 life in 4 weeks so yesterday took advantage of hubby taking kids to local canal festival. Have cycled the route several time with the kids so knew the approximate distance. Got a bit flummoxed when normal car park full & had to park further away. However plucked up the courage & left hubby & kids to enjoy themselves & I ran home along the canal. Had no choice as to how far I went & pushed myself to run the whole way. The only way home was by foot power! 50 minutes later &. 6.5km completed I arrived at my front door.

Furthest & longest I have ever run. The last km was really tough & slow but officially was running not walking. Now just need to solve the issue of low back stiffness when I get tired.

Well done on that long run. Sounds lovely running alongside a canal.
