Out running last night, a good twenty minutes in (W7R3) and I spot a familiar figure running towards me. Sinking feeling as I recognise a friend who has been running regularly for the last couple of years and is undoubtedly going to laugh at my running technique, level of exhaustion, etc. Fortunately she appears to be even more breathless than me, and as bright red as a pillar box. I decide not to feel too bad, we wave and smile and I carry on running up the hill...
