Well, I did it and it wasn't too bad but I was ready to stop at the end of the 90 seconds. This worries me as I will have to run twice as long and twice!! How did other people find the step up?
90 seconds sorted, 3 minutes and twice. Yikes! - Couch to 5K

hi, mrslazy, my one observation for every time is not to worry about whats coming next!
I spent so much time worrying about what was coming up, it really is a waste of time, just remember - you did it!! just think of that, well done!
Just trust the programme, listen to the podcast, and be confident that you can do it, and you will. Please dont worry, your body and mind are ready xxxxx let us know how you get on! Im doing wk 6 run 3 on Friday :((((((
jennyn is right don't worry about what the next run entails, I don't know what the next one is until I turn it on and today I got suprised with 2 8min runs but I did them and I thoroughly enjoyed it, I am doing R3 on Saturday and I won't know what it is until I switch my iPod on, so don't worry just enjoy.
What's great is how you build up stamina each time you do it. After the end of each session I keep saying I never would have thought I could have done that. Just try and go with the flow, Doing Wk6R3 tomorrow - feels like a big challenge each time and then huge sense of achievement when it's done. Let us know how you get on!
I struggled with the step up of 3 minutes for the first 2 runs of week 3 but there were other factors involved like monsoon weather! but by run 3 i found i could push myself easily through it. I always do 4 runs a week rather then 3 just to make sure i'm prepared for the next week and by the time i ran week 3 for the 4th time i could do it no problem
You'd be surprised how your body gets used to it, it gradually builds up strength and stamina and you'll be running for longer and feeling good
My advice is really no different: have faith! This is not something that comes naturally to me - and I faltered badly in week 2 run 2 thinking about running for 3 or for 5 minutes in the coming weeks. But I made sure to take my rest days, and week 3 was just a breeze for me. Before, my lungs and chest hurt like heck during every run. Now, I have found a pretty comfortable stride and can breathe comfortably. I am pleasantly surprised to find that the program really is do-able. Just stay in the present.
I found w3 really hard . Took me 3 times to complete r1 ! But on 3rd attempt i did easily .I am going to do r2 and 3 to check it was'nt a fluck ! Just repeat the runs if you need to . C25K is not a race . Do it in your own time 😁
