been doing ok, running for 40 - 50 minutes, stopped running with my wooly hat and progressed to a karrimor sweatband which keeps the hair under control and the ear phones in place. All good!
Today though... Bitterly cold wind, trying to snow, could hardly bear to walk out the door Hello wooly hat again!! I still usually do 5 minutes walking but after 2 minutes i was getting cold rather than warm and set off at a steady jog to try and warm up. Basically I ran into a 20mph wind coming at me from the left for 2 miles, was nearly weeping at the turning point. Funnily enough mile 3 - heading home with the wind at my back - was almost the fastest mile i've done
So i broke even, 4 miles in just under 40 minutes. endomondo says that I did the second half of that second mile at the same pace I normally walk at.
Two weeks to the 10k. Not as ready as I hoped, but I'll be giving it my best shot.
