Oh my lord! That was tough. Didn't manage to complete the whole session but with the help of my son, my daughter, my friend and my daughters friend we all did it together. Started off ok with the 5 minute walk warm up. Completed the first 60 second run and felt fab.....ooops, spoke too soon! By the end of the second one my breathing was becoming a problem with the air not seeming to go past my throat. Slightly scary feeling which also left me feeling sick. Carried on though with some deep breathing through the walking phase. Managed to complete 4 phases of 60 seconds before switching to a slightly more manageable 30 seconds running/60 seconds walking pattern. Have now calmed down, regained my composure and my beetroot face is starting to regain its normal colour! Have mixed feelings about Wednesday with part of me dreading it but part of me thinking 'Bring it on'!

Week 1 Run 1
Well done you should be really proud of yourself. You've done the hardest part which is actually starting. I'm sure you'll find the next one slightly better but remember if you need to repeat any of the runs you can...just take the programme at your own pace.
Good luck for Wednesday. That's my next run so will think of you whilst I'm out there
Yes well done on starting just do this at your own pace and repeat it if you need to. Good luck!
Nurture that 'Bring it on!!' attitude....... this is what it's all about. you'll be an addict before you know it
WELL DONE, Runningmom! Like you, I've started this today with my teenage son. I was completed exhausted by the time I got home and didn't manage to run for all the sessions...but hey, I tried my best and rather than 'beat myself up' about it, I'm going to 'congratulate myself' for not giving up after the first running session! I've never really exercised my entire life, so this is all REALLY new to me. Small steps, slowly, slowly.
Good luck with your run on Wednesday. Don't forget to let us know how it goes!
