Happy running solo.

Probably one of my best runs ever The audiofuel I used was really good and I enjoyed the sprints in the middle. I did 6.5k in the 43 minutes which included a slow jog for wind down at the end. A beautiful morning and a wonderful country setting to run.

I am definitely getting stronger and calmer with the running and my confidence is now leading me to a possible 1/2 marathon?! There is one in Tonbridge in September but wish I could overcome my shyness about running around others.

I have my eye on the Maidenhead 1/2 in September. Its nice and flat!

I suspect you will find once you do one group run you will be completely cured of that bashfulness. You are easily strong enough to put up a good showing. I have done a few and honestly no one is looking around saying "you don't look like you should be here" there are all sorts.

I did a ten mile race today and was chatting with a guy running in the over seventies class on the start line - awesome.

I came. 522nd! :-D

Maidenhead sounds good. I am hoping that Tonbridge is flatish but I need to check.

A 10 mile race also sounds like a sensble plan: I don't remember you saying you were going to that ??!!? That's really something you know.

Thanks for your encouragement. I'm sure once I've got over the initial shock of being with a lot of runners, I'll be fine.

Nah, its my defensive personality. Don't mention it in case you crash and burn then you don't have to own up :-(

Now I have succeeded I may get boring about it 8-)

what "audiofuel" did you run with? Ive tried looking into buying some but didnt know what bpm to get

& well done Greg. just to finish a 10mile race would be an achievement for me. how many raced?

am concentrating on running outdoors at the moment so may work back up to trying to achieve 10miles at some point in the future.

The audiofuel was Adrenaline Junkie 2. the bpm was 160 at beginning, then 164/166/190 and then almost the same again. 43 minutes. It was a really good structure and I felt comfortable with the speed, even the sprints! and I'm usually fairly slow. I definitely recommend it anyway, and they seem to do quite a selection. However this running lark is supposed to not cost anything and it soon mounts up!! Still, I think keeping fit is worth it..
