I did W5R1 on the treadmill today and was really pleased with how it went. I upped the speed for the last 30 secs of the first 5 minutes, the last minute of the 2nd five minutes and the last 2 minutes of the last five minute run were my fastest speed. After the podcast finished I upped the incline on the tread mill for another 5 minutes brisk walk, by which time I'd covered 5km. The five minute runs felt a lot shorter than five minutes felt last week ! I really enjoyed the run and think my extra outdoor runs on a Saturday are helping me push myself a bit more.
I'm tempted to give R2 a go tomorrow, simply because I have a free couple of hours before taking my son to his consultation day at school and I've felt good all day after this morning's efforts. I think I'll just go with how I feel in the morning on the assumption that if it feels like a good idea, it probably is....
My boss offered me his place on a local half marathon this weekend as he has injured himself. Hahahahahahahaha! I'm far from ready for that

I got overconfident a few weeks post-c25k & it meant a month off as I injured my knee due to overdoing it. I would have a rest day & perhaps go for a long walk if the outdoors is calling.
even though I have been running a year I believe that the rest days are necessary for recovery & always have at least one day in-between.
