Week 3, run 1: back on track

I stopped for a week between week 2 and week 3, partly because of some hip pain, partly because I was doing 18 hour days at work so mornings were impossible! But today was gorgeous, and I'm so happy I'm running again.

I was really scared that 3 minutes would finish me. Actually I found it surprisingly easy! I was listening to the music and concentrating on not going too fast (by the way... if anyone had been seeing my head over a hedge they would totally have been able to tell I was running: how does one NOT bounce?!) and suddenly it was done. It made me really happy and proud. And in fact, when Laura told me I had one minute to go on the last 3 minute run, I actually sprinted it and totally felt like some kind of athlete! (I'm sure passersby might disagree).

Sunshine and glory: brilliant start to a Monday.

Well done - great feeling isn't it! I've no idea how not to bounce, I certainly bounce!! :)

Haha, I actually enjoy the bouncing feeling... sure the grin will be wiped off my face come running than longer for 3min!

Bouncing is part of running in my experience... anyway, the sheer speed with which I fly past the hedge will tell them what an uber athlete I am ;-)

I'm up for Wk3 R2 today - what I hated is when dear Laura butted in during the first 3 min run, so I stopped thinking she was telling me that that 3 mins had really flown by, and there is almost a tone of 'ha ha caught ya' in her tone as she says you're halfway through!!??? For heaven's sake, tell me when we're done, don't torture me!!! ha ha ha, she won't catch me this time ;-)

Well of course they'll be able to tell by the speed - I mean, if they can see you at all, flying past at supersound right? ;) That's what I choose to believe anyway!

Totally! The only thing they'd be aware of is the gust of wind as I flew past faster than a speeding bullet!

Well done. Completed Wk3 R1 today. The weather is glorious. I accidentally started listening to week 5 though! Once back on track I did as Laura said, but I'm sure if someone saw my head over a hedge, they would think I was just walking. Haha. It'd have to be a very low hedge too

Well done yourself! Yeah week 5 looks scary, I download them a week at a time, and ceremonially delete the previous week as I'm done with it. QUite satisfying!
