Terrible headache after first run...

Hey everyone, I'm new to c25k and to the community. I completed w1d1 yesterday and found it a little easier then I'd expected managed to complete all the running time and admittedly I was rather proud of myself for managing to find the motivation to start however afterwards I was left with a terrible headache I just couldn't shift which is making me very apprehensive about d2 tomorrow. Did anyone else experience this? Any tips on jlhow to prevent it from happening again, can't face another headache ridden day like yesterday. Thanks :)

It's fairly common on the first few runs to scrunch up the shoulders and that can cause a headache. I know it's an extra thing to remember, but if you are hunching, try to drop your shoulders and keep them relaxed. Adjusting your sports bra so it is comfortable helps, and when you get back do some stretches. There are some on the Cool Runnings website (suggested by the man who first developed C25k).

Dehydration is another possibility, a glass of water before and afterwards helps. Make sure you have eaten something beforehand if you run in the morning, although not too close to running, I leave about 45 mins after breakfast. Also consider eating some carbohydrate-rich food like a banana or some toast when you get back.
