Week 5 here I come!!

Well, at the end of week 3 I really thought I would never be able to run 5 minutes and now I've finished all the runs without having to stop once. I won't lie - run 2 was hard and it was sheer willpower that got me though because my calves were (to use my exact words) "killing me"! Today's final run was great though, I really enjoyed it and am looking forward to starting Week 5 on Friday!!

I finished Week 4 today. I can't say it was easy but I was mean to myself and upped the speed on the treadmill for the last 30-40 seconds of each run. It hurt my legs to walk up the stairs to work afterwards !

I run outside, I've never run on a treadmill - I'd be interested in seeing how different it is (if it is!) but probably won't as I don't belong to a gym

I find outdoors is more challenging because of the inclines and even the kerbs. Although, my only outdoor run was with a coach so perhaps I pushed myself to go a bit quicker too, I'm not sure. The nice thing with the treadmill is that I know exactly how well I did last time so it's easy to just up the settings a little bit so I know I'm pushing myself a bit more.
