Treadmill completed - Now for the outdoors!

I have never enjoyed running so when I decided in October 2011 to start downloading the NHS Couch to 5K podcasts and take to the treadmill. I didn't think I'd be able to say a few months later that I've completed all 9 sessions on the treadmill and I'm now starting again but this time I'm running outside.

I'm now at the stage where I actually look forward to running and I've definately seen the change in my weight and improvement in my cardiovascular.

I'm not good at this blogging thing but I'll try to keep an update on my Couch to 5K running outdoors in the hope that its spurs others to get out there and start running.

I'm out and about next week on Wk 3 - Lets hope the weather is good :)

Good luck for week 3 outside! I mainly run on the treadmill but just this week I ventured outside twice for the first time and it was great :)

Good luck with the outside running & the weather! I run outside and love it although yet to face the rain....think I've timed the runs to avoid it so far!

Thanks folks - I found the transisition from treadmill to outdoors a little difficult at first but I'm getting used to it. :)
