Week 9 R3. Done it. In a blizzard today! The postman is my witness. She even knocked on the door later to check if I was OK. I obviously didn't look like the heroic figure I had imagined. But my fleece was catching the snow pretty well so I probably looked like a wounded yeti as I ran round.
And you're amazing!!!!! (And what a sweet postperson!) I'm sure you looked like a snow-covered superstar 🤩 Huge congratulations, and there's your badge xxx
Completed c25k in March 2020 but never claimed my badge then. Have done the whole thing again now. Yesterday our little running group did 6km so defo earned the badge again. Hubby and myself have now joined the local running club and hope to keep this running lark going! Just hope I can get a trimmer bum and tum out of all this!!😆
Yesterday I completed C25k Wk9 run 3 and request my virtual graduate badge. In April 2021 with a big birthday looming and no physical activity on the radar it was time to give myself a good talking to.
Taking hold (virtually 😊) of my big girl pants I joined the local leisure centre, slowly, oh so slowly I began to feel better both physically and mentally. 10 weeks ago I decided it was time to give C25k a go
Was it easy NO was it worth it ABSOLUTELY. My aim is to continue running
Completed week 9 run 3. I’m still running only 4km and hope to improve it during consolidation runs. I am visiting my parents in Sri Lanka and therefore ran week 8 and week 9 in torrid heat with a heat index of 40+ 💪🏽
Also looking forward to do some park runs once I’m back in London.

Thank you roseabi - it just shows how this program really works people struggle with week 1 and 2 and before you know it you graduate week 9 really how amazing is that. I actually found the forum by chance, I don’t know if I would have managed to do it without the support and the excellent information from everyone on here, I have learned so much about running in general who would have thought. Morning! I did finish C25K 2 weeks ago and only saw the link now! I'm also looking forward to reading the articles on consolidation and training after C25K. Thanks for the amazing support from the instructors and the whole running community 😍
It’s not been the easiest thing for me to complete - I’ve never been a runner (I’ve always struggled with the breathing). I might ‘run’ very slowly but I am absolutely chuffed to bits to have finished the c25k today. My final run was this morning… I got up at 7am (I’m not a morning g person either!) then did my 30 minutes in the gym on a cruise boat of a very long awaited holiday. I felt like crying before I even began - I’m doing this for and in memory of my mum who I lost to cancer last year ❤️.
"I'M A DIFFERENT PERSON...TURNED MY LIFE AROUND"🎵🎵 Well it only took me 21 years to return to running following ankle ligament reconstruction surgery😖. To be honest the excuse was wearing a bit thin🤣 . Now at the tender age of 51 I am no longer the non-runner in the family & no longer feel like I am missing out . Signed up for Cardiff 5k Race for Victory... running it with my daughter on the 1st of May 😍.Thank you to C25K for getting me to a point where I had the confidence to do this. Wish me luck! For all those mid c25k journey or just starting out ...keep going & trust in the programme . The hardest part is believing in your own capabilities. In February I struggled with week 1 today I ran 6.2km and enjoyed it.
Dunnit!! My final run of the programme but just the start of my running journey? (The J word. Apologies). My challenge was to complete the program and do a Park Run before my 70th birthday in a few months and I’m well on track.It’s been such fun and I’m happy but also sad it’s finished. What to do next? Something with Denise Lewis in my ear preferably!!

I finally made it through to the end! I started in January and although had to pause a few times due to sore knees and covid, managed to persevere!
For anyone with sore knees, the thing which really helped me was changing my route. Previously I ran on a tarmac road with a few severe hills but I switched to running alongside the canal and the flatter route on a non-tarmac path made all the difference.
Completed Wk 9 R3 two weeks ago while in France for a wedding. I wanted to have a UK finish along my running routes here back home. And i did, 8 days ago here in the UK. I have repeated the last run twice since.
I had a 2 month break at Wk 7 R2 and wondered if i would get back to running. Following the advice from on here, i tried again. And i found my joy in running again. I feel very happy.
