Oh but the snooze button just five more minutes. Getting better but still don’t get up as soon as the alarm goes

That was so good to watch and listen too. And running on sand is brutal as I recently found out and running on shingle is even more brutal.

It's quite inspirational isn't it? Very different to what he normally does.Yours

Hi, I didn't realise it was you . I have started the C25K again, on week 5 run 3 tomorrow, excited at the prospect! I won't be hitting the snooze button. 😀

What a great video. Don't hit the snooze button on life. Love it John.

Everything he says is common knowledge here. It's just packaged up differently and in one place.

- If you don't start, you'll never do it. (Snooze button)

- You can't push yourself hard all the time.

- You need a meaningful reason to be doing this that will keep you doing it.

- Life often gets in the way.

- There will be good runs and bad runs but they're still runs.

- The act of running is only part of the experience. Your interaction with other things (and people) while you're out is at least as important.

- And running on a soft surface which saps the energy out of your strides is very draining.

And I know why some folks won't like his voice. He's trained himself to speak at the very lower end of his natural register, causing a grating "vocal fry" effect. It's the same as the trend for many female speakers from the USA to have croaky voices.

Fair points nowster - however, you must know how many beginners *don't* know the above.

We do have the excellently curated FAQ, though.

Of course! But I'm now experienced enough with t'internet to know how often they're ignored - they have to be explicity posted as reminders. Folks simply don't go looking for them. Similar behaviour in FB groups and other forums - the same questions repeated over and over, when a simply search of that group would provide the answer.

Don't get me wrong, Ben is obviously looking to build his online community and therefore needs to put out good and compelling content.

Thought provoking, esp. about 'outcomes'. I like the point about only having to be better than yourself yesterday!
