W9R3... Do dreams come true?

So I went to bed last night totally undecided on should I run in the morning as I have a busy day but got my kit ready just in case, I had earlier in the week decided that Thursday was run day . Tossed and turned for an age in bed and decided the only way I would ever get any sleep was by committing to a run in the morning. So up and out this morning for my W9R3 . The nerves kicked in and I felt very excited ... Too excited ! But I did rein it in. I saw a runner , who voiced how hard running was and we shared a mutual smile ... She saw me as a runner !!! Crazy lady. So the run went on and I plodded along past now familiar sites and remembering when the thought of being able to run so far would have been laughable... So I approached the last minute and looked into the distance for my welcoming committee ... Where was the gold finishing ribbon? Michael Johnson and Paula Radcliffe were not waiting for me or the brass band... as for the ticker tape just leaves on the ground... All as I could see in the distance were two horses in a field with long faces.... Not the finish I thought I was going to have... Then I remembered they all thought I was running tomorrow , not today ... So I got into the car and pulled down my vanity mirror and saw the person I had been dreaming about seeing for the last 9 weeks......... Mrsrun... THE RUNNER!........ The perfect finish.

How silly are we for getting nervous on something we have already done but I know exactly how you feel. Do it when you are ready and enjoy. Graduate ....Me? Thank you . I will be cheering you over the line .

I’m feeling much better amazed at how quickly- hopefully can try a run in a few days! Sounds like you should try some consolidation runs before you talk yourself out of it! I can’t believe how far we’ve all come! Keep going! 🥳

My hundred mile walk starts a week on Saturday , so I need to put a bit training in for that . Then I fancy running by the sea ( I live in a land locked area) and some Park Runs....... And then a medal !

Good luck on the walking, sounds fun. The sea is beautiful also on my to do list.

As for park run, now that's an experience you will never forget! I've only done 1 and realy enjoyed it. I'm certain you will too. Plus usually rains on a Saturday morning, another thing we like lol
