What do you mean by "Get into the breathing" ?Are you referring to trying to breathe using a particular method ?

Or are you struggling to breathe at all while running ?

If so, slow down more so you could speak full sentences while running

Thank you I'm asthmatic so will take on board what you suggest.

Remember it takes 10 mins for your breathing to even out.

I usually breathe in 2-3 paces and breathe out 2-3 paces, or thereabouts, but that’s a good place to start.

I try to breathe deeply and it has been a struggle as I had an op and taken me a long time to recover. I am sure there are plans to follow but I try to breathe in deeply through my nose and out through my mouth. Seems to be working ok.

Which week are you on? Me breathing sorted itself out once I got through about the 8 minute intervals.

I didn't try any "structured" breathing, I am seasonally asthmatic, so this is my bad period.

What helps me is, before I start, breathing out as far as possible, line you're trying to mist up a mirror. Then breathing in, slowly until I feel the whole of my lungs open up, often I have to do this a couple of times.

It takes about 10 minutes, as someone mentioned, before it all evens out, as for the first 10 minutes your breathing is playing catch up with the increase in oxygen requirements, but it should start to even out after that.

I have found that running has increased my lung capacity, so.do try and stick with it. Also don't hesitate to see your gp if you need to.do, as mine said "breathing isn't an option"
