W5 Run 3

Would never have thought a few months ago that I would willingly get up at 5am and go out in the pouring rain let alone be able to run for 20 continuous minutes in it. I took all of the advice offered to be on wednesday and i absolutely smashed W5 run 3. I even felt as though i had more in me. I had a bit of an amusing moment though where I thought I couldn't get any wetter - I was so wrong!! The cow parsley either side of a narrow path was bowed over with the weight of the rain - running through that and collecting more water was a shock to the system πŸ˜‚. Funny though i think today has been one of my favourite runs.

Rainy runs are the best! I also had one this morning and was as wet as an otters pocket by the time I got in. Well done for getting out there and for smashing the 20 minute run πŸ‘

Congratulations on completing run 3 of week 5 in the heavy rain, onwards and upwards to week 6 run 1 but be careful about that run as it catches out some people with the interval walks and runs after the non stop 20 minutes of W5R3 which you have just ran, hopefully in drier weather.

Such a milestone, well done! My W5R3 was also a wet one but I remember the elation of doing it meant I didn't care at all! Take care not to go off too quickly on your next run, intervals seen like they should be simple after a 20 min run but the stop- start can be tricky!

Thanks for the advice for my next run tomorrow. I totally enjoyed yesterday's run despite being soaked. I think I'm due another soaking tomorrow looking at the forecast πŸ˜‚
