W5R2 complete! I may have indulged in an ice cream cone earlier on in the afternoon which wasn't fully digested by the time I went my run...had a bit of the boak during my 2nd 8 minute running block ๐Ÿคข not exactly setting myself up for success haha! Here's a little pic of a beautiful bandstand in my local town.

That's a town?! Looks like a wee village!Well done you for today. Hmm, note to self frozen dairy products prior to a run are probably a bad idea. Seriously well done Kate!

I think we're just over the population limit for a village haha so it's a wee town โ˜บ๏ธ Thank you and Yes, I will definitely not have ice cream before a run again ๐Ÿ˜‚ How's your week going so far?

Pretty good so far thanks. I've completed week 3. Still not smoking. I've turned into that person who crosses the rd if I smell smoke! Really looking forward to each run. Next week looks a tad daunting though!

Well done on your runs and the no smoking!! Are you feeling your lung health is better? Ahh you'll be fine next week no problem, I thought about how daunting W5 would be and its been fine! The plan works โ˜บ๏ธ

Thanks mate. My lungs don't feel as shocked and I think my capacity is improving although that may be wishful thinking! One weird thing my health app seems to think my calories burnt is decreasing. Strange. Maybe I'm just getting more efficient! Hmm wishful thinking again. I agree the plan does work.

My calories burnt are also decreasing, you are right though! Turns out that the fitter you are the less calories you burn haha check us out eh? We'll be well oiled machines soon ๐Ÿ˜‚

Thank you! Nervous for the next run but feeling good about it too ๐Ÿ˜Š I was suprised someone hadn't taken the name already lol!

Try not to be nervous as felling nervous uses energy, the most important thing I learnt was to get your breathing right.

Try to relax and get your breathing into a nice steady rhythm. Take a nice deep breath in through your mouth (not too quickly) and then purse your lips slightly as you exhale. Imagine youโ€™re body is like a machine and the oxygen your taking on board is your fuel. If you do this you wonโ€™t feel so out of breath as your taking in sufficient oxygen. It helped me get through the longer runs, hopefully itโ€™ll help you too.
