I did it, Wk5 run 3 and so pleased with myself 😁 It was tough but I couldn't finish 60 seconds on week 1, so worth every minute.

Congratulations on completing run 3 of week 5, that is a milestone run with C25K, onwards and upwards to week 6 run 1 but be careful about that run as it catches out some people with the interval walks and runs after the non stop 20 minutes of W5R3 which you have just ran

We couldn’t believe we would ever run for that long when we first started, it’s an amazing programme, I bet you keep grinning

Nohare in reply to SueAppleRun

Yes totally, it's great how week 5 really steps it up and you start think that you could complete it. Such a great feeling 😁

SueAppleRun profile image
SueAppleRunGraduate in reply to Nohare

Just remember to take the next run slow, going back to intervals can feel harder than you expect, but week 6 is a great week

Nohare profile image
Nohare in reply to SueAppleRun

I will thank you, mainly because I still run so slowly I'm sure I could walk faster πŸ˜‚ but I'm not going to worry, just the time running is enough for me for now.

SueAppleRun profile image
SueAppleRunGraduate in reply to Nohare

Slow is the best, and one day you will realise your slow is a bit faster without even realising it

Sorry for the late reply, long work day. I still am thrilled with it thank you, wk 6 run 1 Sunday, there's a bit of nervousness about that but as everyone keeps saying onwards and upwards 😁

Good luck...the first two runs of W6 have caught many of us out in the past. They're easlily do-able. But at bit of a struggle after the great run of W5R3.

Well DoneπŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘when I first done C25K I actually checked Google thinking my app was wonky πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚20 minutes must surely be wrong! I must admit though, being able to run that dreaded 20 minutes filled me with confidence, if I could do that and survive, I could do 30.

Nohare profile image
Nohare in reply to Dannybhoy625

Yes, totally agree. I prefer not to know in advance what my next run is ( I knew 20 minutes was coming up but not when) then Jo Whiley told me as I was heading out the door, no time to stress 😁 I believe it's possible now, although I'm sure not easy.

Well done, Nohare

I had an online session with a health trainer yesterday.

I had options of Bronze: 90 minutes of exercise in a week

Silver: 150 minutes

Gold: 300 minutes

I did about 70 minutes of walking yesterday, some of which was brisk (I think)

Well done, as said a milestone run and now no more walking !, you will be amazed at the progress you will make from here in,but just stick to the programme, if you have to slow down, dont forget to stretch before and after and proper warm up's/down's get into that habit and "Bob's your aunties husband".

Excellent news! That is the daunting one out of the way, so there is no stopping you now. Just be careful of W6R1 - it catches many out so slow and steady for it.

Well done πŸ™‚ I’ve just done the same run myself this morning (very slowly!) I can’t believe I did it without stopping! I wasn’t expecting the big step up in week 5. I thought I’d made a mistake and jumped to week 8 or something, but here we are - we did it! Good luck for Sunday, I will be doing week 6 R1 on Monday.

Congratulations!! Isn't it a great feeling, I could have written your post as I wasn't expecting that leap either, I normally work on ignorance is bliss πŸ˜‚ I'm glad that I've had the advice on here that next week can catch you out though, Im hoping I won't be so deflated if I struggle. 5/3 wasn't easy, the last two minutes felt like an eternity but that makes it even more rewarding. Good luck for Monday.
