A quiet word, if I may...
What is the best-recommended sports bra? My wife is starting the C25K next Monday - the day after her birthday and the first day of my W9. I will be running with her for support.
In order to best protect her, what would be best. A 'B' cup apparently.

It’s your lucky day newbie-nick i used to be a bra fitter! There’s not much I don’t know about things of that nature.
Depending on her back size and to be on the safe side I’d go with M&S high impact. It’s a pure mine field out there and without knowing her back size or shape it’s a little difficult to offer the best advice.
She needs something that can fully support her however with being a B cup she doesn’t need something that will consume her completely.... those beauties are for people like me who were obviously at the front of the line when they were handing out chests.... and then went back for more 😒
Mostly, sports bras fit tighter than a normal bra. It’ll should feel like she is wearing a bra - but not in an uncomfortable way.

She has to get it to fit her size now. No point getting a bra and hoping to fit into it later. That’ll just be uncomfortable, and if she looses weight sometimes you’ll loose it in different areas each time.

Thanks again. I will take a close look at the chart and buy accordingly. When she starts to slim lockdown will hopefully be eased and she can get out and look in the flesh. I just want her to get out and start as I have found running to be so beneficial in do many ways. I think I understand what you mean by humbling. A cousin of mine, and an old school friend both died of breast cancer far too young. I was lucky in that my cancer didn't get me!
How lovely of you to support your wife in more ways than one! It's quite a hard thing to recommend as we're all so different. I'm an 'a' cup and I prefer a sports bra that I can pull over my head and is not over engineered. I don't like feeing my breathing is constricted.
My favourite at the moment is from addidas and medium support. It's an old model though. I also have some nice (pricy) sports bras from Sweaty Betty.
Just make sure the support is medium or high and you can do a return or exchange easily.
Sweaty Betty! Really!!! Any advice is welcome, and as it will have to be bought online,I can take a punt on getting it right. Wish me luck...
I also wear sweaty Betty ones abs find them really comfortable. If you wanted to treat your wife to some new running gear as well, their leggings are fantastic...they don’t wrinkle or slide down and have little pockets for phone and keys. Well it is her birthday ... 🥳

The brand I prefer is shockabsorber run bra.....they’re not the cheapest, but I’ve found them to be the best for me....Mx
I have shock absorbers on the car, bit I'm guessing the bras are a little different? I will take a look and order what sounds best for her. Like so much in life, there is too much choice.
Ha ha yes, I love the brand name - does what it says on the tin.....😂🏃♀️.......just to add a bit more confusion, there are two types of sports bra, compartment and constriction, the main thing is your missus should be able to jump up and down with very little ‘bounce’ and feel secure and comfortable- it’s the bounce that damages the tiny delicate muscles that support boobs......for running a high impact bra is a must, no matter what bra size.....Mx

Second vote for Shock Absorber. I find Bravissimo to be really helpful, while their shops are not open they are helping people with fittings online, I'd start there.
Nike sports bras DRI-FIT are very good, true to size, but expensive. Kudos to you for helping your wife!
Thanks. Price isn't an issue. Comfort and support for my lovely wife are far more important than my bank balance - just don't tell my accountant I said that...I shall take a look and see what I can order in the next day or so.

I found both a high impact and medium impact sports bra in my local Tesco and I love them both (I’m a D cup and they hold me in place). If your wife is a B cup I’m fairly certain they’d do the job especially for the beginning weeks.

Another shockabsorber fan here, although I did start with the M&S front zip up .
I only wish to add - the size of my sports bra bears no resemblance to my normal bra. I was fitted in John Lewis but good running shops usually have a bra fitter too.
Thanks. I have ordered a Shock Absorber and I can only hope that it fits! If it doesn't, I can always exchange itI have never appreciated just how big a minefield this is for sports bras. Hopefully, I am nearly at the end of the process.
