Before the broken wrist I was a fit 62 yr old enjoying running albeit slowly. Now I am feeling anxious......

Remember that the programme worked for you last time, and it will work again this time. Just take it slowly and you’ll get there.

Hello Jot1812! As RainbowC says the programme worked for you before so you definitely have it in you. I would do routes you know really well, or is there a grassy park you can use? I think if you have a handle on your environment, you may feel less anxious. Best of luck, you can do this! 😀

If you can analyse what is making you feel anxious you are half way to overcoming it.

Do you know what caused you to fall? Can that be avoided?

Do you believe that you are now susceptible to falling? What can you do to change that?

Can you work on balance, say, if that contributed to your fall?

Running, especially off road is excellent for developing balance and reflex reactions.

Start with small steps and each victory will boost your confidence.
