When I told some people I was doing c25k they said, but have you really run 5k?? So I downloaded NRC 5K run and went out tonite and ran 5k!! When coach said you got 800 meters left I felt really emotional and when he said 100 meters left I just saw a 100 meter track as if in the Olympics 🏃♀️🏃♀️🏃♀️ and when I reached 5k I was SOOOOO happy 😊 never thought I would do that. It took me 46 minutes and that was probably the best 46 minutes I've spent in a long time 👍

I loved reading this post, C25k is misleading as it’s aim is to get you to the stage whereby you can run continuously for 30 minutes, you smashed that and now you’ve run 5k too to cement the fact that you are without doubt a true graduate and to silence anyone who doubts how hard you’ve worked, how far you’ve come and how much you’ve achieved, brilliant, Well Done 👏🏻👏🏻💪🏻🏃♀️

Awesome, well done 👍. Thanks for sharing this post. I had to explain to a family member again today that YES, I finished C25k and NO I didn't do 5k and NO that doesn't mean I failed etc etc. I will take my time and one day I will get there too 🙂.

Well done and love the description of sprinting 100m too! I like to end with a short sprint, my friends reckon they can't keep up with me (they're being kind!). I always say it's for my 'photo finish'! So you have achieved distance 5k and endurance in running for more than the required 30 mins - 'buy one get one free' - fantastic! No wonder you're pleased. Suggest to your friends they take up C25k, then they'll 'get it' 😁.

I can totally relate to your post, i have last week done exactly the same but it took me 51 and a half minutes 😅 I am going to look at the app you mentioned as i only have 2 more couch to 5k app runs left. The only reason i ended do a longer run last week is because i just felt like carrying on to prove to myself i would be able to reach 5k. Well done again!
