In desperation, I give C25K a chance. Week 1 was not as bad as I feared. I deliberately, with dread avoid to view the upcoming plan ahead. Friends say Prepare and you will be ok. So, I have updated my Will. Lets go ...

Dragging my Couch behind me
Welcome to the forum and well done on getting started.
This guide to the plan is essential reading healthunlocked.com/couchto5...

Enjoy your journey.
No need to update your will, no one has died doing C25K although some thought that they would die doing run 1 of week 1. That's good advice from your friends, it is advisable that you don't look ahead at future weeks or runs, wait for the instructions from your coach before you run, drink plenty of water to avoid dehydration, no running on consecutive days as that could cause a injury, good luck for your running journey with C25K. 😊 🏃🏾
Congrats on making your way through week one! Honestly I think most of the preparing has been done by the clever people making the plan - they have figured out a progression that makes sense to gradually things build up. I have just been trusting in the wisdom of Laura and getting myself out the door ready to follow instructions
Go for it_you won't regret it_this plan is brilliant!
Don’t dread it, embrace it, look at it as a challenge, it’s not easy, if it was everyone would be doing it, but if you go at it with a positive attitude you’ll love it and believe me it works. I went from struggling to run for 60 seconds to eventually completing a 10 mile run and I was not fit at all. Good Luck and make this forum your go to place for all the help and support you need 👍
Hi Karambah, I thought I was going to die or at the very least throw up on wk2 run 2 but I did it and I'm now at wk8. Just follow the excellent plan and trust that you can do it. If you do that then you will. Keep going 😁
