I had my doubts again - learnt lesson thinking 25 min run wouldn't be too bad - but just did 28 mins. During 25 min runs I stopped right at the "you can stop now" rather than jog for 10-20 secs more so was full of trepidation, but just listened to Michael Johnson's notifications. Still can't believe this!!

You'd better believe it. BTW I think you'll find that golf is at best average.
In my former days in cricket, we lost some good men to golf, so I have an ambivalent relationship to golf, especially now as I approach my late 50s.
LOL - sometimes I think it is evil when my second ball goes into water. I would have thought you can play both sports though if you play for fun. I have several friends who do this. BTW one of these friends took me to play "friendly" cricket. When I saw the speed of the bowlers, I was petrified, with no helmet. Anyway I was no 11 and had to face 3 balls from one of the speedsters (praying the guy would bowl it straight). Being in my late fifties I saw the ball when it was 10 feet away from me - literally. Thankfully he failed to bowl it straight and I survived.
I only got to see the ball when it was three feet behind me. Usually with at least one stump missing. It only took me 2 years after turning 50 when I realised that I may be even worse at this when I was 45. And I was poor then. Thank goodness for running .
