thoughts at 1/3 way thru this plan :-)

i cannot believe how much i have learned so far! when i think of all my fear before... what a waste of energy. how i struggled with weeks 1&2!!! really pushing myself to my 'limit', or so i thought... now i run three times that much, i just take it for granted that i can so i do. how i have learned that you can't really run too slow. snails are our friends! how this is only a competition with ourselves. that negative thoughts about up coming weeks or anything else are the enemy. we gotta stay away from them. that if you smile when you're running you feel different in a good way (if a bit mad) and that whether you think you can or think you can't...you're right (henry ford). re-runs are good not bad, building stamina each time, and even saying you can't, subliminally damages your ability for your next run. yes it's totally knackering (well, so i have found, very many may disagree) and yes it pushes us, but YES the feeling after a run is worth its weight in gold and it's a gift. i am so grateful to have found this plan and this forum. and i am only on week 3 run 3, so nowhere compared to most of you but i've learned this much already. my boyfriend already bought me a gold medal for 'when' (notice) i finish my C25K. it's just in his drawer sitting there for whenever it happens... :-)

Well done DTC, you’ve got the right attitude!👍 You’ll find similarities between running and life itself, hopefully. Things like you can achieve things you never thought possible, the power of your mind and how every run/day/ thing that happens is a lesson. At least that’s what I think!😊

that japanese slow jogging has really changed things for me. its a question of being able to do the C25K or not. and i chose yes.
